Post BC2 Map Pack 5 Live
After doing some reading on PBBans, it would appear that another map pack is out! Add!?

This Map Pack includes the following two levels.
White Pass - Rush - levels/mp_007gr
Nelson Bay - Conquest - levels/mp_008cq

If you have commandline access you can add the following and restart the server.
-revisionLevel 5 -revisionKey B70E5FE7-9774-F917-0BE0-

Maybe Nelson Bay is fun now!!!!!?

I've been enjoying Nelson Bay a lot already. I think that I've racked up some of my better/funner rounds on it..... along with Arica Harbor Rush mode tooo..... But with daylight and conquest added to it, I suppose a new twist could be interesting.

For me, the map that comes to mind as a roller coaster of pwnage and "oh shit, we are in trouble" is Valpariso. If I'm on the uphill side of the fight, life is good. If I'm with the crew that is down the hill(s).... it's pretty nasty if the other team is any good. The good part is that as you progress through the MCOMs you alternate between being uphill and then downhill relative to the opposing team...so there is a bit of ying and yang type of balance to it I suppose.

Correct me if I'm wrong but seeing has how we are running our conquest severs with no vehicles (tanks, choppers, etc.) wouldn't this new Nelson Bay fit the bill? I know none of us have played on it yet, but if it's like the Rush version, it won't/shouldn't have any big vehicles. I'm also interested in the White Pass Rush... love the Conquest version. Maybe it would be a good idea to see if MyIS has these maps unlocked. If you like I could give 'em a test drive, take a few screenshots, and report back here so we can vote?

While we did that for a while, for the last several weeks (changed it sometime in June I think) we have been running regular Conquest WITH vehicles and running all maps. Several reasons we went that route which we can chat about....but.... I do think it has helped the conquest server population. Of course that server isn't populated as much as our Rush server but that is just because the folks that have been camping our servers have tended to give priority to the Rush server (at least I know I have)... But when we do camp the conquest server it seems to get going relatively easily (at the right time of day of course)...

I'm pretty sure I read in their forums and in their notices section that they have it up and running already (or will very very shortly). My thinking is that we just turn them on and include them in what is/was our all maps mix.... If we don't like them and there is a mass outcry to get rid of a map, then we can do that.....

...lol

I added the maps to their respective servers today after that post, and a bit of thinking (basically what you said)... if they stink, we'll take them off. I've been gone for a bit and can't wait to frag some more... Now to find jammy... :whistling:
